December 2024: $5,000 to Holiday House
The Holiday House SRQ’s mission is to create unforgettable holiday experiences for elementary children in Title 1 schools.
Title 1 schools are determined by the percentage of students who come from low-income families and receive free or reduced lunches. For the majority of these students, holiday experiences are simply not what others take for granted, and shopping for presents is a joyous, empowering, and lasting memory.
Creating a Holiday House is no small feat-it requires dedicated volunteers, financial support, and a sprinkle of magic. Each year, we transform ordinary classrooms into enchanting Winter Wonderlands and invite children to shop for gifts for their families free of charge, weaving an experience that leaves an indelible mark on their hearts and memories. We proudly report that in 2024, 2000 children across four schools (Alta Vista Elementary, Brentwood Elementary, Emma E. Booker Elementary, and Wilkinson Elementary) will benefit from Holiday House SRQ.
